About the Print
This piece is a more playful, illustrative take on the Alaska Range, inspired by the unique shapes, layers and colors that make these mountains so recognizable. I wanted to capture the personality of the landscape without taking it too literally—bold, colorful and a little unexpected.
The Canvas Tote
It’s just a bag with handles you say?
Not this tote.
The Canvas Tote was born with purpose: to fit all the vegetables you could ever need from the farmers market, to carry the entire charcuterie board and a pack of sparkly water to the lake, to transport towels, bathing suits and sunscreen for the whole famm damily to the beach.
All in impeccable style.
Ok maybe it is just a bag with handles, but jeez it does a darn good job of it.
The Canvas Series
The Canvas Series is a Free Range collaboration with artists who live to get lost in the mountains. A portion of each sale goes directly back to the artist who painted/illustrated/imagined your print.
Made in Vietnam.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
First and foremost, your pack requires daily walks and adventures in order to maintain its well-being. And if you uphold these responsibilities, you may notice a light yet persistent layer of grubbiness form on the vibrant colors of your pack. When this happens, it may be time to give it the ol' scrub-a-dub. We've put together a short instructional video for your entertainment. Please enjoy.
- Remove backpad.
- Use any "grease" removal laundry detergent (here we use Spray & Wash with great success). Apply directly on pack or onto a rag or sponge and scrub vigorously over any dirty areas.
- Let the detergent soak in for about 5 minutes.
- Toss in the laundry. We recommend using hot water and then just not showering for a couple days to make up for it.
- Voila!

About the Artist
Annie Brace grew up in Iowa and made her way north to Alaska in 2004. Anchorage has been home ever since, and over the past two decades, its landscape has become an unmistakable part of her work.
Annie is a fine artist, graphic designer, and illustrator working across acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, and digital media. She has never been particularly interested in sticking to one medium or one style. The idea usually dictates the direction, and she values the freedom to move between fine art and design.
For the past eight years, Annie has also created artwork and graphics for Jones Snowboards, bringing her illustration and design work to boards that end up on mountains around the world. That ongoing collaboration has become an important part of her creative career and a natural intersection of art, design, and the outdoors.
Alaska is the common thread through much of what Annie creates. Mountains, rivers, snow, changing light, long winters, and ridiculously good summers continually find their way into her work, sometimes literally, sometimes loosely, but almost always in there somewhere.
Her work is less about perfectly documenting a place and more about translating what it feels like to be there.
