About the Print

The glaciers and icefield in my backyard (and playground) are potent and ancient reminders of the rapidity of change and intensity of uncertainty taking place in real-time. The expansiveness of these wild landscapes offers an opportunity to zoom out, to acknowledge that we can hold space for beauty and awe amid change. There is an exquisite aspect to tuning into the uncertainty of life – both in looking toward the endless possibilities of the future and in the mirror it provides for the resplendence of our present moment. May we all pan out from time to time, remembering to hold space for the exquisite uncertainty within and around us. Everything is possible.

The Canvas Tote

It’s just a bag with handles you say?

Not this tote.

The Canvas Tote was born with purpose: to fit all the vegetables you could ever need from the farmers market, to carry the entire charcuterie board and a pack of sparkly water to the lake, to transport towels, bathing suits and sunscreen for the whole famm damily to the beach.

All in impeccable style.

Ok maybe it is just a bag with handles, but jeez it does a darn good job of it.

Care Instructions

First and foremost, your pack requires daily walks and adventures in order to maintain its well-being. And if you uphold these responsibilities, you may notice a light yet persistent layer of grubbiness form on the vibrant colors of your pack. When this happens, it may be time to give it the ol' scrub-a-dub. We've put together a short instructional video for your entertainment. Please enjoy.

  1. Remove backpad.
  2. Use any "grease" removal laundry detergent (here we use Spray & Wash with great success). Apply directly on pack or onto a rag or sponge and scrub vigorously over any dirty areas.
  3. Let the detergent soak in for about 5 minutes.
  4. Toss in the laundry. We recommend using hot water and then just not showering for a couple days to make up for it.
  5. Voila!

About the Artist

Kelsey H. Fagan, of Elevate Art Studio based in Juneau, Alaska, invites viewers into her ink and watercolor landscapes through distinct line work and vibrant colorscapes, highlighting the magic of wild places while weaving messages of resilience and reflection into her interpretations of the natural world. Rooted in her background as an art therapist, her work is thoughtfully cultivated to encourage viewers to explore a reflective, integrated connection to place and belonging, both within and outside of themselves.

She established Elevate in 2018 as a platform to share her art and extend her reach as an artist, art therapist, and community member who wants to affect positive change in a world that can feel disconnected. Dedicated to fostering a thriving local arts and business community, Elevate works exclusively with small businesses on all reproductions of her work and keeps things local whenever possible.

Kelsey lives in her hometown of Juneau, Alaska, with her adventurous husband, fierce five-year-old daughter, and giant velociraptor of a chocolate Labrador puppy. She works from her home studio, gifted with endless inspiration from the surrounding Tongass National Forest and a life dedicated to adventure and awe.
