About the Print
Vibrant communities among mountains and ice. On a calm clear day in southeast Alaska, you can see across summits, icefields, fjords and forests. Although they appear daunting, these mountains always make me feel at home.
The Canvas Tote
It’s just a bag with handles you say?
Not this tote.
The Canvas Tote was born with purpose: to fit all the vegetables you could ever need from the farmers market, to carry the entire charcuterie board and a pack of sparkly water to the lake, to transport towels, bathing suits and sunscreen for the whole famm damily to the beach.
All in impeccable style.
Ok maybe it is just a bag with handles, but jeez it does a darn good job of it.
The Canvas Series
The Canvas Series is a Free Range collaboration with artists who live to get lost in the mountains. A portion of each sale goes directly back to the artist who painted/illustrated/imagined your print.
Made in Vietnam.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
First and foremost, your pack requires daily walks and adventures in order to maintain its well-being. And if you uphold these responsibilities, you may notice a light yet persistent layer of grubbiness form on the vibrant colors of your pack. When this happens, it may be time to give it the ol' scrub-a-dub. We've put together a short instructional video for your entertainment. Please enjoy.
- Remove backpad.
- Use any "grease" removal laundry detergent (here we use Spray & Wash with great success). Apply directly on pack or onto a rag or sponge and scrub vigorously over any dirty areas.
- Let the detergent soak in for about 5 minutes.
- Toss in the laundry. We recommend using hot water and then just not showering for a couple days to make up for it.
- Voila!

Meet the Artist
Stephanie Ryan
Stephanie Ryan is a watercolor artist drawn to the wildness of Alaska, Yukon, and the North where she calls home. She and her husband own a small art gallery called Boreal Artworks, in Skagway, Alaska and spend as much time as possible in the mountains, rivers, and snow with their adventurous dog, Daagi.
Stephanie’s paintings each feature a bit of the sense of awe she feels when in the wild, and she hopes that her art inspires others to connect and protect places that inspire them.
