John Kelley is an artist, poet, creator, and the founder of Thunder Mountainworks. Based in Bend, Oregon, he creates art inspired by a deep love of wild places and a commitment to protecting them. Through his work, John aims to build community, inspire connection with the outdoors, and demonstrate that it is possible to help create a world where these special places continue to thrive for future generations.

Throughout his career, John has traveled extensively, working in independent school leadership, nonprofit consulting, coaching, experiential education, global education, and environmental service. He has also served as an adjunct professor of climbing at Prescott College, combining his passion for education, adventure, and the natural world.

Through his art, writing, and creative projects, John hopes to inspire others to embrace creativity, seek adventure, and make a positive impact in service of others.
