Born and raised in the mountain town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Emily Poole has been exploring the wild spaces of the western United States since shortly before she could walk. She currently lives and works in Eugene, Oregon, blending colorful whimsy and scientific accuracy in her ink and watercolor illustrations of Pacific Northwest species.

Her goal is to use artwork to engage the public in learning about what's going on in the natural world and what we can do to protect it.
