It was one of those times when the magic happened and it all came together: a fresh summer rain on the dawn hike up Tumalo Mountain, a glowing red sunrise, hot drinks and warm scones on the summit, a touch of wildfire smoke guiding rays of light out of the sky, and the twisting and turning of two twin sisters' voices in harmony, floating across the breeze.
Huge thanks to Isabel and Fiona Max for their sweet music skillz, to Laurenne Ross for only playing the violin like once a year but still laying down an epic accompaniment and solo, to Chris Pleasance for herding all of us cats and producing this masterpiece, and to everyone else for putting up with these shenanigans. It was a slice.
