About the Print
My work is often a reminder to myself, and in this case, to not lose sight of what my ultimate goals are. This piece may look like a bird chasing a moth, but instead, the sun is the ultimate destination and the moth is the messenger, leading the birds to it.
The Canvas Tote
It’s just a bag with handles you say?
Not this tote.
The Canvas Tote was born with purpose: to fit all the vegetables you could ever need from the farmers market, to carry the entire charcuterie board and a pack of sparkly water to the lake, to transport towels, bathing suits and sunscreen for the whole famm damily to the beach.
All in impeccable style.
Ok maybe it is just a bag with handles, but jeez it does a darn good job of it.
The Canvas Series
The Canvas Series is a Free Range collaboration with artists who live to get lost in the mountains. A portion of each sale goes directly back to the artist who painted/illustrated/imagined your print.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
First and foremost, your pack requires daily walks and adventures in order to maintain its well-being. And if you uphold these responsibilities, you may notice a light yet persistent layer of grubbiness form on the vibrant colors of your pack. When this happens, it may be time to give it the ol' scrub-a-dub. We've put together a short instructional video for your entertainment. Please enjoy.
- Remove backpad.
- Use any "grease" removal laundry detergent (here we use Spray & Wash with great success). Apply directly on pack or onto a rag or sponge and scrub vigorously over any dirty areas.
- Let the detergent soak in for about 5 minutes.
- Toss in the laundry. We recommend using hot water and then just not showering for a couple days to make up for it.
- Voila!

Meet the Artist
Angie Pickman
Angie Pickman is a hand cut paper artist that combines the art of traditional paper cutting with collage. Heavily inspired by her love of nature and exploration, Angie’s cut paper collages reflect her need to simplify while at the same time appreciate the beauty of even the most minute aspects found in nature. By cutting away all that is unnecessary, she creates intricately detailed subjects that pop with bursts of color.

Ever since I got this bag in the mail, I've really been enjoying it. My primary reason for getting the bag was to carry my groceries. I got fed up with all the wasted paper bags I would bring home every day from the grocery store. Then I thought, "why not just get a dedicated grocery bag?"
After having already purchased several other bags from Free Range, I knew their quality would be high, and so I went through the artist tote bags on the Free Range website. This little forest scene really got my attention with its bold, vivid colors. In real life, the colors are even more vibrant than in the online pictures, trust me. So right off the bat I was in love with the look of the bag as soon as I got it in the mail.
Now, I use it every day for my groceries. For a 3-meal-a-day cook who is going to the grocery store daily, I can tell this bag was a GREAT investment. I never have to worry about the handles breaking. It's tough. It's big. Good for the environment. And it's easy to clean. Like all of my Free Range bags, I put them through the abuse test, and they have all held up without exception.
Even when it's not being used for groceries, I still find myself using it to haul items out to the car, transport tools, or just do chores around the house. So I really need to get at least one more because it was supposed to be a dedicated grocery bag, but now it's pulling double duty as a do-everything bag. It's just a really, really good bag.
Oh, and it even has internal pockets. One zippered. Really recommend it!
I love these bags Beautiful and so easy to fill.
I own several totes, large bag and a backpack. Love the totes and leave one in my car for shopping. Strong and well designed with fantastic art from local and regional artists! I am using my new backpack for airplane travel and size and weight and small organizational pockets as well as collapsibility are prefect! Last year I bought as gifts for all of my family. Love supporting Bend Local businesses!
Love this tote!! Perfect for weekend trips, farmers markets, beach days and more. My go-to bag for literally everything. Amazing quality and the artwork is beautiful. Highly recommend!
I love my Free Range tote and don’t know how (or why!) I went this long without one!! The tote is perfectly designed for throwing in all the things you need for an adventure, bike helmet, snacks, change of clothes, you name it. It has bespoke interior pockets, including one that zips from both sides, for easy access to the little things (wallet, phone, etc). The Renan Ozturk Arches Storm print beautifully captures the space and motion of the weather moving through the landscape. We have two Free Range totes in our household and rarely leave for an adventure without them. I can’t recommend it enough!!
